Hung Up on White Being Right
So hung up on white being right
I had to hang up on him tonight.
Look, I can't listen to silly, ignorance
a man lacking in common sense!
So what a man is white, doesn't mean he is right.
I guess brother man was looking for a fight!
Everything in his mind, his insight,
always has something to do with white!
White with black
He preaches, "...Tiger ain't back!"
Black with white
He preaches, "...That ain't right!"
Always got a fight, but money stay tight.
Keep talking, while people walking,
sometimes looking like he stalking.
He says, "I know So and So and I could help you grow."
Sit back and watch. He says stuff for show.
Overlooks the fact that black don't have his back,
believes that white is always counting a stack.
He helped create The White Flight
standing on the street always in sight.
Blames The Man and the one in sand,
yet he will volunteer for the media band.
He helps perpetuate stories and stuff,
then talks like he is rough and tough.
Won't bother to look beyond his own view
and talks about, "The Jew, the Jew."
If he bothered to study--go real deep,
he would find that there is more to seep.
God's people aren't really God's people
and many could care less about the steeple.
Blue bloods, red bloods wear the same color,
many have connections to the Queen Mother.
Black and white, rich and poor,
both play on the same checkered floor.
Watch a movie, worship a star,
no time to go in life real far.
Play a game, buy a toy
keep him acting like a boy.
It isn't all white, that is doing something right,
and it isn't all black who moves to the back.
But fools don't spend much time in school,
his mindset no better than a mule!

6 Signs You Have Been Running Away from Your Blackness
Whether it was an African American relative, who wasn't happy in her own skin, or someone who just reasoned that being black or "acting black" just wasn't a good idea, there are some African Americans who work hard to disassociate from anyone or group that reminds them that they are black. Could you or someone you know be guilty of running away from your black selves?
One. You are quick to make friends with non-blacks, but act cautiously with your own ethnicity of people.
Two. You lie to people who look like you, but don't hesitate to speak truth to non-blacks. Some may tell the truth harshly to those who are black like them, but act sweetly or cover up what they are really thinking with those who are non-black.
Three. You spend more time with non-blacks (communicate, party, fellowship, assist them, etc.) but make excuses not to help those who look like you.
Four. You find it difficult to be supportive, affectionate and more to your own people; therefore, you hold back words of encouragement, love and more. But with non-blacks you welcome a hug, speak positively, and show love.
Five. You work hard to fit in non-black social clubs, churches, etc. and will even go so far as to look like anyone, but yourself (ethnicity). For example, a black woman might wear her hair like an European woman, make her eyes and face up like someone with lighter skin, and adorn herself with jewelry that isn't inspired by those from her ancestors' countries while wearing clothes that look better on someone with a different body frame.
Six. You avoid living/working/playing around black folks as much as possible for fear that certain poor, uneducated blacks might rub off on you and your family.
People who are not happy with who they are and have many unresolved negative experiences with their own people will try just about anything to stay away from anyone or anything that reminds them of their ethnicity, gender, childhood, etc. As much as we would like to think that certain people in our families, at work, church and elsewhere are "good people," test the spirits and you never know what you might experience.
Keep in mind, you don't want to be that one who has a problem with all things black; rather, appreciate who you are spiritually and come up higher showing love to all you meet including yourself!
