Must-See: Gabrielle Union's Black Women in Hollywood Speech

Must-See: Gabrielle Union's Black Women in Hollywood Speech

UNSUNG BLACK PEOPLE

This article is written by an outspoken white woman that many love to hate, but she has a point.  After we heard all the talk surrounding the Trayvon Martin case from racism to gun control, what you may or may not have thought about was had Zimmerman been an older black man wrestling with a young black male and shot him the issue would have not made national news.  But as we all know, media looks for controversy, because controversy sells!

Let's be real, there are problems in our communities that are dressed just like what their hearts represent from the drug dealer to the rebellious teen who doesn't know how to stay at home and mind his own business.  And when someone or a few come along that are tired of being in fear and ready to clean up the block, you best believe all hell is going to break lose.  We need a few black men and women who don't mind taking a stand when our people are just wrong, plain and simple!

You Were Being Programmed to Protest by Media Long Before Zimmerman

From television programming via movies and subliminal messaging to encourage rallies and protests, those who have plans to shake up groups here and there wanted something to happen--to make the masses angry.

Some of you have not fallen for much of anything the news media reports on this shooting or that one, good for you! But what you have done is watch far too many entertainment shows that subliminally worked on you far before you got caught giving your opinion on something that really has nothing to do with you and your family.

Check out videos on how media programming has a way of getting you to think the way they want you to.

Rapper sings about it below, notice he isn't an American black although he looks like it, he can see through our government's lies:

Notice some funny business with our media nationwide in this video.

For some of you, you most likely thought that most television news was original from state to state.  There are certain groups that own media and they tell them what is deemed newsworthy.  Then you and I sit before television thinking that the story is about our community and especially important--to who?  Why is it necessary to keep reminding us about things that have nothing to do with us?  With a distracted mind on the frivolous, you won't bother to question too much of anything.  Even when you do wake up and protest every now and then, you are still asleep, because the masterminds of the event knew your intentions before you knew them.  Wake up!

Which pill do you prefer, the red or blue one?  Funny how Laurence Fishborne is waking people up in both roles from black folks at a college to white folks in the office--lol.

Her Mother Wanted to Know Why She Talked to Black People

What if you decided to socialize with a different group of people at work who weren't your skin tone, from your country, or knew anything about your culture, and then someone in the group said or did something that irked you.  You go home and tell your partner or relative about it only for him or her to ask, "Why do you talk to those people?"

Not that long ago someone shared a story with me of a young white woman being asked what she felt was an offensive question by her mother, "Why do you talk to black people?"  Just the question alone speaks volumes.  But later I learned from the daughter that the mother had been very active over decades in black communities which peaked my interest slightly in this bold, white woman.  "I guess it was okay for the mother to deal with "the black people" and not her daughter," I thought.  But maybe, just maybe the mother noticed that her daughter had issue with black people based on years of seeing her mother frustrated because she had to deal with blacks.  Whatever the mother's reason for asking such an ignorant question, it was yet another issue to ponder.

Don't we do this sort of thing when we talk with people outside our race or in a certain social class such as saying something like, "John, why do you bother with those simple black folks?  You know they ghetto!  Don't go over there talking to them, you know how they are.  There's your cousins, I'm not talking to them, you talk to em'!"  So why do you bother with your people?

Sometimes we have to think about what we are saying and what we are conveying to others.  Maybe the white mother had far too much experience with ghetto blacks and she didn't want her daughter to be corrupted by their ignorance like:  ridiculous name- calling, disrespectful fashion/lifestyle, unnecessary hollering and acting emotional, and "the attitude" (getting visibly upset over the littlest of things,) so she wanted to know, "Why do you talk to black people?"  If I had been there, I would have told her, "Not all blacks.  What kind of blacks do you think your daughter is talking to?  Obama blacks, Kee-kee, Tee-Tee and Ray- Ray blacks, Bi-racial blacks, Kuntu Kente blacks, what kind of blacks are you talking about?  Notice, one group of people within a group of people give just one more reason why ignorant people down the whole population.  State your truth!  There are different kinds of blacks from different kind of backgrounds and one size doesn't fit all!

Stay cool, out there!

Poem: Sagging Pants

Life low
mood low
pants sit low.

He restricts his walk.
Can't get far.
His behind, a set back.
He bends over, we see his butt crack.

He smells, emanating an odor from hell!
A hole unlike a wishing well.
The mind doesn't ring a bell.

Inability to reason,
sag pants not in season.

Won't tell himself that he needs to stop,
don't mind the attention from a cop.

Makes excuses for why he shows his butt,
advertises that his spirit is in a rut.

Someone please pray for the man child,
he is playing a bad game, he's fouled.

Don't understand the history behind the sag,
don't mind being called "a fag."

Wraps his arm around his brother,
shows his butt in front of his mother.

No father in sight, no wisdom to give light.
Discerning adults need to show him the way, turn his dark into day.

Men, Women: A Spiritual Perspective on Dating, Relationships

Watch out! The Zimmerman Trial is Just Another Media Hyped Event to Get You Angry

We have seen this story play out in the past, an African American is murdered by someone who isn't black and the news media goes wild!  Like cheerleaders at a football game, the media stands on the sidelines rooting for whatever race, culture, gender, or creed while motivating the public to get emotionally charged for his or her favorite team.  But if you are not knowledgeable about the team, history, power players, etc., yet easily moved by stories of success and failure, you will pick a side based on personal experience not facts and you won't bother to use your critical thinking skills to find out how is it that XYZ team got so much fanfare to begin with and why should you care?

The fact is everyday a black man, woman or child is murdered whether the suspect is white, yellow, red, black, etc.  But what makes the Trayvon and Zimmerman story so compelling is a young black male and a white looking Latino (who both have family members that are influential in their communities) have been strategically picked out to be used to cause a stir between their racial groups that have been known for their hot-headness and ignorance around the world.

Turn blacks and Latinos against one another and low and behold, there will be chaos!  Now why would any powerful, wealthy group want to do that--more specifically a racist white group or groups?  So that martial law would be established in certain communities especially where there are many low and middle income families.  The oppressor finds yet more ways to oppress those who he hates especially if he or she fears that his or her space, family, position, rule, and more may one day be threatened by "those people."

If the poor and middle class families choose to act like fools on the day that a verdict is rendered in favor of Zimmerman, they will be playing into the hands of a sadistic enemy that wants nothing more than to further destroy what little they have in their communities already.  If the verdict should go the other way in favor of the victim, it doesn't necessarily mean that all will be quiet, so keep your eyes open for more stories to get you angry, spew hate and weaken you spiritually.

Rather than fall for the racially motivated stories, comprised of a whole lot of evil to get one frustrated and enraged enough to go burn down someone's business, home, and more, one should use his or her faith and pray while thanking God you weren't fool enough to be manipulated by narcissistic elitists who simply don't like those who don't look or act like them.  We must also consider that those groups who don't like neither blacks or Latinos will "act" or "play" out chaos in the hopes that martial law will be implemented.  It is unfortunate that some "masterminds of chaos" will go to great lengths to destroy "the undesirables," but the reality is that fools seal their own fate.  Some of you reading this have a few too many foolish people in your family who should be at home, at work, in school and somewhere else doing something productive, but instead they rather be out on the street being unproductive.  Then when something goes down, they holler, "Injustice!"  Negro please!

Keep in mind, after watching enough TV, listening to prejudice folks, and more, anger doesn't have to manifest itself out into the streets, it can fester in one's home, workplace, church, civic group, etc. making it uncomfortable for all parties who are in that trouble-making person's presence.  A victim of segregation may become visibly upset by someone else's drama and spread his or her curses throughout his or her environment not realizing that he or she is being used like a pawn to incite racial conflict, hate, arguments, and physical fights.

Poisonous words said to partners and children about "how this one and that one is nothing more than a &*^%$!" is of course not spreading love but war and God sees all!  So once again, let this be a warning to those of you who read this blog, don't fall for the media hype when it comes to these trials and other media events that are marketed in such a way to encourage a race war.

Be at peace with your brothers and sisters as best you can and your God will bless you for it!
