The division started just before the former president Barack Obama left office. The mass media programming was underway to assault our minds--get us to be mad about many things all at once. For instance, the many shootings of innocent black men and women being gunned down for no apparent reason. We got upset about how media once again was being bias toward us. We were angry about the dismal return of our music. Then when R&B showed up again we saw faces that didn't look like ours. They brought up old wounds related to interracial dating. They created division between whites and blacks, married and unmarried, spiritual and nonspiritual, genders, nationalities, religions...any and everything they could do to make us mad while asking, "Why you mad?"
Who are they--these trouble-makers? Psychopathic and narcissistic sub-groups, occult groups, political groups, ignorant associations, cult religions, toxic Mamas and Daddies--anyone reachable, lazy thinkers, poor people, broke people, disgusted people...
A new year brings about new ways for psychopaths and narcissists to once again tap into the following: your fears, worries, stress, unresolved past issues, and more, if you let it! A new year with an enemy at large is about once again killing, stealing and destroying the unsuspecting if you lack spiritual armor and knowledge. A new year will upset everything that matters to you, if you remain reactionary, stagnant or a combination of both when you should be responsive and offensive for the greater good.
When they expected me to be an angry black woman this year like rolling my neck about unfair wages, snapping my fingers on nasty folks and talking stupid like some silly women on dumbed-down reality shows, I surprised some folks this year.
They expected my mind, as well as yours, if you are a woman, to be triggered by Omarosa and the Trump battle and for the men mind-programmed Kanye and other artists used to make us mad as hell.
They wanted us married women divorced this year, did you notice the programming?
They wanted us to be whores for select groups, did you notice that programming?
They wanted us unconscious so they could have their way, did you notice that--Cosby fell for that decades ago.
They wanted us to be mad at all men, run into the arms of women, avoid procreation, and take drugs, many legal drugs...did you notice that programming?
Spend up your money this holiday season, Mama, they say in so many words. You got an increased credit line offer, didn't you? Yep, that always works.
Capitalists started Xmas movie programming on B.E.T. back in July--but then again was it a bit earlier this past year? Meanwhile some of our people are getting ready to be mad at the bill collectors.
So the takeaway from this piece, stop being mad! Redirect your anger toward consciousness, continue to be aware of manipulative programming and clever propaganda designed to bring you down and keep you down! Drugs, alcohol, over-eating and a screen (phone, T.V., computer, tablet, etc.) ain't going to help you when the going gets tough! Be sober-minded and reconnect with your Creator. Drugs take you to a fantasy world, alcohol dulls your senses, eating too much makes you tired and watching a screen all the time makes you stupid!
Get ready for more of the same programming in the new year with a twist here and a turn there, but it still all leads to the same devilish path--mental, physical and spiritual oppression! The debilitating cycle repeats itself: you get mad, you desire to get even, you sit on the couch, and act like you have no Creator--they got you right where they want you. Go back to sleep.

Unhealthy Dysfunctional Relationships with Family
Would you permit a man or woman you didn’t like to show up
in your home and help his or herself to the food in your refrigerator, take
whatever he or she wanted out of your children’s rooms, and go rummaging
through your drawers and closets? Of
course, you wouldn’t but so many men and women in dysfunctional relationships
are allowing people they secretly don’t like or know well to take advantage of
them because they are “family.”
When does one ever say, “No!
I will not put up with this and I don’t care who you are in my
life!” Over and over again people are
hurt not by people they don’t know, but people who they know by a title: spouse,
mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. Other relatives who know of a family falling
out will encourage the used and abused to “forgive, go back, let by-gones, be
by-gones…what would Jesus do?” and any other statement that creates a sense of
guilt in the victim. So like a
merry-go-round ride that never seems to end so too are these relationships with
toxic family members and friends.
Hurt yet again, the daughter keeps showing up to get yet
another dose of her mother’s insults.
Depressed again and a nephew drags his feet to the residence of an aunt
and uncle, who are mentally disturbed, to witness yet another despicable
act. They are told to “help, to be
there…they need you” by so-called good relatives and friends. “you will be
blessed if you do. Mom will remember you
in her will. You know your kin will help
you when you need them.” Yet, for many
victims the so-called “reward” or “blessing” never paid out nearly as much as
it should have for all the pain and suffering one endured having gone through
another emotionally and or physically abusive event. Would God ever tell his children to go back
to evil? He frees people from mental and
physical bondage and moves them forward as we see in biblical stories such as
the Exodus in the Old Testament Bible for starters.
Unhealthy dysfunctional relationships wreck havoc on your
personal and professional lives. Toxic
relatives and friends call, when you least expect it, to deliver most often
negative news while criticizing you for “not being there” and “you should help,
because that is your family.” Before long
the victim, who may have once been emotionally and physically free from the
power and control, is back in bondage.
The cycle continues until the victim chooses to no longer succumb to
guilt-trips, ignoring or threatening behavior from controlling relatives and
friends.
Some things that you can do who is in currently in a
dysfunctional relationship:
1) Express your
concern to relatives about their request/proposal/behavior. Tell them that you cannot help and don’t
bother listing a myriad of reasons, simply let your “no” mean “no” even if they
refuse to take it for answer.
2) Threatening or
violent relatives keep yourself, pets and children away. If you live with them, begin to plan your
exit plan where you are no longer relying on them for anything. You wouldn’t accept a stranger abusing you or
your family, so why allow them to abuse you?
3) Seek counselors
who can help you with things like: responding differently to controlling
relatives and friends, read media like this to keep you encouraged to develop
distance and be open to connecting with positive people while disconnecting
from the negative ones.
What has it been like lately for you? Have you found yourself going above and
beyond for needy relatives and friends only to be ridiculed, shamed, or
violently assaulted for not doing more?
If you have recently put a stop to the manipulative tactics of toxic
family and friends, do share your experience in the comments below.

African American Workaholics - Robbing Family of Quality Time
Sitting back listening to Slide by Slave, an old school R&B jam, I thought of those good ole' days chillin' at the local park with relatives. Uncles and cousins on the grill preparing tasty ribs, chicken breasts, hot dogs, kielbasi, sausages--my mouth is watering. Like family cookouts, the holiday season brings its share of memories with Nat King Cole singing, "...chestnuts roasting by an open fire..." Yet, with all the good time memories, there are those who rather not be reminded. They are the African American workaholics in pursuit of personal goals while saying, "I just want my family to have the best of everything." Their seriousness (sometimes mean-spiritedness) along with their drive to be everything that their predecessors weren't is robbing them of what is important, quality time with their own families.
There is no energy to talk to spouses, correct children, connect with kinfolk or sit back and breathe. They have made it so! No blaming "the man" this time especially when you got favor with him. A relative isn't going to get to speak with a workaholic, who has his or her phone redirected to voicemail or set to an automated reply via text, anytime soon. You can cry, beg, or even send an S.O.S. across the Internet and they are no where to be found unless they want to be. The determination to be the best, make the most money, and obtain more contacts then the workaholic will ever speak to is all-too-important until someone dies or then again, maybe not. "I'm sorry I just got too much work to do! What do you want from me, blood?"
Our most talented and successful in the black community didn't "make it" without hard work of course, but they also gave up intermediate or extended relatives and once so-called good friends in an effort to take care of themselves and others. We might complain about our sons and daughters not having enough time for us, but think back to all the preaching and teaching we received and what we spoke to our children. Our parents and grandparents didn't want us in jail or prematurely in our graves over nonsense and we didn't want that for our sons or daughters either. However, the motivation to be the best is still prevalent among many of our elders and for some they are torn between work and family responsibilities. The money earned is most appreciated, but how much are you willing to lose to gain abundant wealth?
The leaders, preachers and educators, who love money, rarely share personal disappointments and discord truthfully. They rather tell stories of success that make them look phenomenal. But what about the days and nights a wife didn't see her husband while children cried for "Daddy!" and the family members and friends who had to watch their children while she worked. What about the men and women who helped them get there and the times the family went without so that someone could achieve a dream? The workaholics also don't share the temptations along the way that they didn't rise above but succumbed to. They don't tell of the lies told and immoral services performed to achieve fame, fortune and power. They will never speak of those who shoved their dirty work under the rug so that they could remain free to make more money. Silence is golden with the most wealthiest in the African American communities across our land and their occult and fraternal allegiance attests to that.
So what might we glean from those who robbed their families of good memories in exchange for long hours in the street, at the office or out in the field? Recognize our shortcomings and don't repeat what the workaholics have done or still do--the love of money is indeed the root of all kinds of evil. Many are separated from their Creator in pursuit of it.
