Everyday we turn on the television screen or computer, we see our current president, "The Man." Yep, that's him, the one your elders warned you about. He is a tad bit younger than possibly some of them are now, but he still grew up during a time where he saw minorities being oppressed. So he knows about "The Struggle" not just ours, but many other racial groups as well. Now keep that in mind for a minute.
Systematic oppression creates a climate that empowers the favored group over others. While many will think it is just general life challenges that tend to oppress (which they do sometimes); however, these so called mainstream "political, economic, societal, community challenges" have been manufactured in such a way to keep you on the struggle bus not get off it i.e. immigration issues! The tools at any prejudice leaders disposal are those of chains, bars, walls...anything that confines--anything that sends a message around the world, we not only control the people in our land, but yours too--keep out!
There was a time when ignorant biggots thought that coming through the back door will "teach 'em" but stupid them, it took a long time for them to wake up, you can't really see what is going on when you let people in from the back door. They were more concerned with having cheap labor and churning wealth more than anything else! As long as the minorities weren't baby-making like jack rabbits, they were okay, but when a segment of the population started increasing in great numbers this recent decade, uh oh, time to put population control measures in place, talk about reformed immigration, illegal immigrants...Spanish translations popping up everywhere and jobs requiring bilingual speakers...they were really pissed off! Before long, the least favored groups were gaining momentum and still are! They orchestrated movements just like our people did in the past that increased and empowered Latinas and Latinos through the back door here in Amerikkka! Meanwhile the so-called empowered group stagnated. So now they want people to come through the front door so they can keep an eye on them while fortifying the back doors--lol.
Interesting how childhood woes have a way of showing up decades later in older whites--pride, prejudice and pessimism. Like some of us growing up, "The Man" heard the elders talk about "those people...d@mn ni99ers!" now its the "d@mn Hispanics!" Therefore, "The Man" runs the land doing the kinds of things to let "those people" know, "I don't care where you go or what you do, just don't do it here. You're not welcome here!" Of course, hidden prejudice is all guised under safety, security, protection, must be a legal immigrant, etc. I agree it has been a challenge over decades and yes we all have been impacted in some way "se habla Espanola...," but we know better what is happening or do we? One "illegal" immigrant, one detention center, one manufactured tragedy, one day at a time--harassed, processed, booked, and sent on his or her way elsewhere or to the grave. History repeating itself.
Imagine you in office, privileged, wealthy, in a job--the most important in the land! Now take a political issue whether great or small and spin it in a way where you are doing a service for the people while carrying your share of prejudice. Defend your decisions by saying what you are doing or saying isn't really what you are doing and saying (even though when called out on your behaviors you know they set entire groups back rather than progress them forward). Continue to create division while telling the masses you are "helping." Oh yes, "The Man" creates the division while people are too scatter-brained, confused, and used to know the difference between you being of service and you being a royal pain in the you know what! Aren't you glad you aren't "The Man"?
"The Man" he is still covertly or overtly putting his foot on some necks, those that permit it, while giving you and I just enough to make you think he is helping people--how about his favorites? Those select ones who behave themselves and others who don't bother to critically think, they get a bigger piece of the pie. They don't criticize, at least not to his face, they feign gratefulness for that back-breaking job or dirty role where eyes don't see, ears don't hear, and voices don't talk. "Yes" men and women don't ask questions or think, they just do as they are told. You win favor with "The Man" when you do things his way not "our" way. The conversation you have with him is not "I" but it is "we." It is he who is the only one permitted to say "I." Some of you recall slave history when master sick, "We sick," says the perfectly well slaves.
The Man's indoctrination has not gone anywhere! Centuries of mental manipulation on the poor, broke, busted, and disgusted. He has strong drink and drugs for you to ease your sorrows. Cancer causing cigarettes to temporarily cause you to escape your misery (R.I.P. Ma). He offers his affordable fast food to fill your belly because he knows how you get when you're hungry. The last thing he wants is for you to spiritually meditate and fast, so he is sure to get as much entertainment as he can so that you are consumed with your screens. He is still using ministers, doctors, lawyers, and psychologists, law enforcement...to calm you down. By this point you should know that "The Man" is more than a figure head of a country, he is your ultimate adversary above all adversaries seeking who he may kill, steal and destroy--Lucifer/Satan/Beelzebub!
Time to wake up again my friends! A bit of prophecy: watch the news when all hell breaks loose, a day of "wall" reckoning. This isn't your fight for once in your life even though some will be persuaded or tempted to join in, just watch and pray.
