"He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire." -- Matthew 3:12
Stupid, Unfocused, Silly, Sensitive, and Ignorant were all welcome to the party when you were growing up. The host most likely didn't leave anyone out when you celebrated holidays with family and friends. You were expected to go along to get along. You were told, "That's your blood...your family...don't judge...He's good people...She loves you even if she acts crazy sometimes."
We have all been there, forcing ourselves to tolerate certain people. But today, when I looked around a stadium of white and brown people with blacks here and there, I realized all the more just how different we are even among our own culture and age groups. There is no one size fits all with African Americans and I no longer have a one size fits all tolerance for our people either no matter age, background, neighborhood, faith, gender, etc.
I recognize the God that many of us pray to (and for others they simply respect, but nothing more), is not happy when we welcome any and everybody into our circles just because we have similar skin tones or have some commonalities. Sure, we talk or minister to the lost, might even break bread sometimes, but many are not who we seek for counsel or ask to help with tasks. Some people are indeed chaff while others are wheat. The chaff are those that have little regard for wisdom, could care less about doing what is right, and have repeatedly looked for any and every excuse not to serve an Almighty God. These same individuals are open to a conversation about all things related to Satan, but not so much when it comes to the things of God. Talk about money, you got their attention. Share practical information on their future purchases, they are listening. Mention something about saving, investing, better ways to parent, the truth about dark celebrities, and similar eye-opening things and gradually you start to lose them. Bring some music, shocking photos beverages and food, and you might engage some of these people to listen again.
Time is quite honestly running out for the chaff, they are everywhere! From TV to that relative who puts up a fight any and every time any form of truth is being mentioned, God is indeed separating the wheat and the chaff. Unrighteous relationships that have gone on whether in or out of the church are coming to a close. Wicked people who worked closely and did much evil together will have their share of fall-outs until someone will say, "I can't take this anymore." Others will cry out loud for the first time in years to the Great I Am after years of running from Him, because they just can't take the pain, stress, and lies anymore. Oh, the days of trial are coming from the head on down in many of these so-called "black groups" and "black relationships."
Enjoy these good times of television and Internet for now, those ungodly celebrations, and whispering about the evil that men and women do, soon there will be a massive conviction of those who God has called to Him--the chaff will be separated from the wheat!
